Help Us Fight Food Insecurity in Durham with North Carolina Central University’s Food Pantry

The mission of the North Carolina Central University (NCCU) campus pantry is to provide a free resource for all members of the NCCU family (students, faculty, staff, alumni and community), while providing nutritional support for at risk and food insecure individuals. The ongoing initiative exists to eliminate food insecurity, and lack of basic resources, needed to engage in the learning enterprise.

The NCCU Campus Pantry offers non-perishable food items, including, but not limited to:

  • microwavable quick meals,
  • oatmeal,
  • peanut butter crackers,
  • granola bars,
  • toaster pastries
  • and healthy snacks

Non-food, personal hygiene items for donation include:

  • shampoo,
  • conditioner,
  • soap,
  • toothpaste,
  • toothbrushes,
  • deodorant,
  • razors,
  • shaving cream
  • and feminine products

NCCU aims to provide theses resources in a confidential, pleasant setting that is inspiring to all community members.

We ask you to join our church family at Peace Missionary Baptist Church to help stock NCCU’s Food Pantry in honor of our church anniversary celebration, and our ongoing commitment to serve our local community. Accordingly, we will be accepting donations (listed above) all month long in the Fellowship Hall.
