Best known for his hit song “Lift Your Hands”, Pierre Whitlow is a Professional Musician and Recording Artist . He has worked in several genres of the music industry as a musician, director, composer, writer and manager.
Pierre is a native of Newport News, Virginia. He is the son of The Late Pastor Bernard Whitlow Sr. and Diane Whitlow. He serves on a number of boards as an advisor and mentors upcoming artist and musicians. He’s the founder of Divinely Appointed, PW Music Group and PW Management Co. Pierre also serves as an active member of the Virginia Music Educators Association and BMI Publishing Company. In 2005 he received a B.A. in Music Education from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Va. and has since taught music all over in the role of Musical Director.
He has toured for almost 2 decades accompanying National Recording Artist of multiple genres. He has performed in stage productions and TV publications. With a catalog of over 200 songs, Pierre has produced, written and composed several songs and albums.
In February of 2023, Pierre became the Director of Music at Peace Missionary Baptist Church and delights in the opportunity to continue music ministry work here. Pierre Whitlow Sr. is the proud father of 11 and grandfather of 2. He resides in Holly Springs, NC with his wife, and best friend, Lady Corrin N. Whitlow.
