This year’s election is more important than ever, and our church family at Peace Missionary Baptist Church is urging everyone to do their part — and vote!

Election Day is Tuesday, November 3, 2020. North Carolina allows any voter to request a ballot by mail. The good news is that you can make your voice heard, and your vote count, today with in-person, early voting through October 31, 2020.

Why vote early? In the words of Joyce Caesar, a local leader in the #Vote2020 civic movement and a long-term member of Peace Missionary:

“Our Vote Is Our Voice, and We Do Have Something To Say!”

Others across the country seem to agree, just look at these early voting stats from WashingtonPost.com:

  • An estimated 39.8 million people have voted in the US as of Wednesday morning.
  • 20% of the votes cast are by people who did not vote in 2016.
  • Texas is leading the US in most ballots cast so far, with 4.6m votes – that’s more than half of the state’s voter turnout in 2016.
  • Florida also beat its early voting record, with 350,000 voters casting their ballot on Monday, the first day of early voting.
