What a year 2020 has been!
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced our church family at Peace Missionary Baptist Church to make significant changes this year. As we aim to continually prosper in our local community and beyond, we’ve adapted to the “new normal” by embracing virtual services, as well as other methods of social-distance-friendly worship.
For instance, last Sunday (November 15th) we hosted our annual All Members Service in an unprecedented fashion by encouraging our members to pull up to our church, park in designated spots and praise along with familiar — and new — faces!
We’re proud to share that our first in-person service since the wake of COVID-19 was a success!
In the coming months, we look forward to hosting new and existing members amid the pandemic in a safe fashion. Though we can’t predict the future of social distancing restrictions, we do hope to provide some comfort for those reading this post.
In hopes that you find some encouragement, read on for five Bible verses that are timely, and relevant, to unique hardships many are facing this year.
“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
“Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?” Matthew 6:26
“For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10
“But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.” 2 Chronicles 15:7
